The Handwriting Is On The Wall–We Must Be Prepared!

Emergency Supplies

November 21st, 2009

There are many situations that warrant having an emergency kit on hand that goes far beyond cuts and scraps.

My son has an emergency bag for each person in the family with food and water in it, and other necessities for an emergency.

They keep them in the coat closet by the front door so family members can grab theirs in an instant. Many times, I’ve seen them grab their bag and go to the basement during a tornado warning.

The truth is, we have no idea what is in store for us in the days ahead but whatever it may be, we want to be as prepared for it as we can. Just take a look at the various kits and decide what fits your budget and family situations. I strongly urge you to put that item into a shopping cart and then don’t think about it again.

Emergency Supplies

Our Day Shopping wants to help you gather supplies that will help you meet your preparedness goals- not only for an emergency and a natural disaster, but also for a terrorist attack or lean times in your finances.

Israel teaches us how to respond in case of a dirty bomb or gas attack, perhaps we can learn from them. They respond in the following ways:

  • Using gray duck tape, they seal windows and doors with heavy, dark plastic.
  • They wash the clothing they are wearing in soapy water.
  • They stay in doors until it’s clear.
